The HousingCoach.com Privacy Policy is listed below. In short this is what you need to know… I will not knowingly collect any personal identifiable data without your permission. I only collect personally identifiable data through contact/opt-in/registration forms which I have incorporated in this site. Other plugins that are used in this site may collect general traffic data through the use of cookies to add to the functionality to the site and give me overall user insights for marketing purposes. I will never knowingly share or sell any of your private data that you entrust me with.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Contact forms

We employ contact forms in this site to help to provide information and services that will help you to achieve, maintain, or improve upon Your Personal American Dream. Your information is encrypted and securely transferred off of this site for safe storage. You will however, receive an email with the information that you provided to us. Email is not super secure no matter who your provider is so we will never ask you for information that would leave you vulnerable to identity thieves.

Comments

Most of the time we do not allow comments on our posts because it attracts spammers and internet trolls. There are however, may be times when they are open and we may implement 3rd party comment plugins or scripts. In those circumstances, when visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

Who we share your data with

We never knowingly share or sell your data to anyone without your specific request and authorization. Your data is only shared with professional partners who are offering services or information that you have requested. This only happens with clear disclosure on the contact/opt-in form that you fill out. 

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data

Anytime you submit any information through our contact/opt-in forms your information is immediately sent to our private and secure contact management system and is not stored on this site for security reasons. That information is only used for the purpose of offering professional residential real estate services or the fulfillment of those services at your request. Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

How we protect your data

 We have employed Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS) is an extension of the Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP). It is used for secure communication over a computer network, and is widely used on the Internet. But let’s face it, we regularly see headlines and notifications that so called “secure sites” are “hacked” or have site security breeched regularly. This is why we never ask for any information that can leave you vulnerable to identity thieves. We use trusted services to collect or obtain the data that you decide you want to share with us and transfer that data off site for safe storage.  

What data breach procedures we have in place

See above. Beyond that…. None. We don’t store your data on site so there is minimal risk. 

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. 

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

What automated decision making and/or profiling we do with user data

We provide the information that you request through our site. We will offer services as appropriate for your goals, if identified (ie: home buying services if you identify yourself as a home buyer). No other profiling is done beyond that because I am an equal housing opportunity provider and offer services to all persons, regardless of race, color, national origin, religion, age, sex, familial status, marital status, parental status, sexual orientation, military status or disability.

Analytics

This is not a highly technical site however we will upon occasion use services, widgets, whosits, whatsits, plugins, codes, or scripts that will analyze user activity on this site. There are however, no personally identifying trackers intentionally employed outside of the contact forms which are clearly requesting specific data to provide you with specific information or responses. 

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
